The following actions have been voted upon by the Steering Committee at its 12/11/2007 Meeting, as recommendations to the full B-R School Committee for adoption. The B-R School Committee unanimously approved at its 12/19/2007 Meeting all five sections of the proposal.
1. That the following individuals be appointed to serve on the B-R Superintendent Search Committee: Bruce Langlan, Shawn Masefield, Linda McCann, Mary Ann McKinnon, Donna Dixon Paolini, David Patrick, Kathleen Gallagher Perry, Pat Riley, David Thomson, Peter Wyman, Gay Yelle and Richard Zusman.
2. Further, that said Committee shall have as Chair Pat Riley.
3. That letters be sent to the twelve individuals selected and the seven not chosen, thanking them for their interest and informing them of the decision.
4. That the Center for Executive Search, a service of the Cape Cod Collaborative, be engaged to provide services to the B-R District in its search for a Superintendent of Schools. Their proposal provided the names of two individuals who will be working with us in this process – Dr. Joseph Gilbert and Mr. Peter Cannone. Many may remember Joseph from his past service to the Raynham School District and to the B-R District when we fully regionalized the schools.
5. The focus of the Superintendent Search Committee will be to determine the goals and objectives for the District and Superintendent in the upcoming years, publicize the position opportunity, recruit and review applicant credentials, and submit the names of three individuals to the full B-R School Committee for final review and determination.
The Search Steering Committee - comprised of Joseph Gillis, Jr., Fred Kern, Susan O'Brien, Ron Pacy & Pat Riley - would like to thank all nineteen individuals who submitted materials and came in to meet with us.
