A moderated forum (by Jason Edwards of BSC) was taped last night, discussing the upcoming Town Meeting Article #20 to de-Regionalize Bridgewater's PreK-8 schools. The panelists were Dennis Gallagher, Chris Flynn, Marilee Kenney Hunt, Ken Mahtesian and Joe Gillis.
One point that I would like to call special attention to is in regards to rumors of 'one of the B-R buildings being re-deployed to become some kind of college' -- with the following being the quote from Vice-President Ed Minnick of BSC "We are not interested in this at all; all our energy and focus is concentrated on working towards University status for our programs." For instance, currently a teacher can attend BSC to receive a Bachelors degree, a Masters degree, but would have to look elsewhere to pursue the EDD (doctorate).
