| June 14, This is not the B-R School Committee of three years ago Three years ago, B-R was run by Supt. Ron Gerhart and Board Chair Patricia Roland. To put this kindly, they were very secretive - being less diplomatic, they did not share info with anyone; in my opinion, they treated anyone who asked a question with disdain and contempt. The current Board and leadership is nearly completely different people. With 3+ years on the Board, I am 2nd longest serving right now. This group is doing everything it can to be upfront, honest and inviting to the community. Occasionally someone may say a fact wrong, but then he or she will do everything possible to get the correct information out to the public. It is easy to find a reason to say no. It takes courage to trust in others and say yes. |
