April 17, What goes into this website, its purpose, its goals

This website has been around for more than four years (the archives section goes almost all the way back).  I started it as a way for me to write and share my opinions, observations, and details.  Back then, it also served a political purpose by allowing me a vehicle to have my issues written my way.  The local papers write what they think I meant, but here on these webpages is what I actually say.  This website also serves me as an archive of what was happening when, what were the details of the issue, and a timeframe.
Sometimes groups and individuals are upset with what I write or the slant I use with data (my own and officially published), however just like they have an opinion that my words are wrong I have a right to my opinion.  From time to time, I have also included letters and comments from the community about issues that I would like to highlight.  These opinions of others can also become controversial.
On April 12th, I published an excerpt of an email from Bud Morris concerning his opinions on Bridgewater and B-R.  I beleived that his views represented a segment of the population, and therefore published the text.  He subsequently asked me if he could clarify his earlier comments.  Because his new comments build upon and do not really alter his initial text, I have replaced his initial comments.
As everything I post here, I hope that you will find the comments thought-provoking.  Perhaps it will entice you to become more active in the community - write a letter to the editor, talk to your neighbors, speak to your elected leaders, come to school or selectmen or town meeting, appear on cable tv (I know in Bridgewater that Greg Lee is always looking for new people to appear on 'Around the Table'), in general to become engaged in the process.  As always, I look forward to more discussions.
