You can do something!
February 17, MA Governor Whirly-Bird, De Ville, 'do-as-I-say-not-do' Patrick has quite a week

What a week for the Governor.
1. Believes it is ok to take helicopters around the state.  Didn't the Democratic legislature criticize Republican Governor Jane Swift for using a helicopter ride home?  Then again, the key to that is that the Democratic legislature will not openly say anything bad about a Democrat Governor.
2. Governor trades in a Crown Vic for a Cadillac.  First he says that the Crown Vic is no longer in production - whoops, according to un-named sources, the Governor mis-spoke.  Now we hear that the State Police believes the Crown Vic no longer meets security requirements.  I wonder if this means all state and local police will be switching from base $25,445 Crown Vics to Cadillac DTS at $46,089?  For struggling communities, that recommendation doubles the cost of replacement vehicles.
3. While the Governor pushes for 10% budget cuts to departments, he adds a $72,000/year person to help with political requirements of his wife.  You know what, I can assure the Governor that Bridgewater will not ask for Mrs. Patrick to come down and visit us.  Can we get the $72,000 to bring our library up to required hours for accreditation and assist our local Senior Center?  Spending $72k in this manner would positively affect the lives of many more (than a press secretary) and would add to our community.
