You can do something!
At the School Committe tonight, it was formally announced that on Monday, February 12th, at 7pm, there will be a Public Forum Night. The event will take place at the B-R High School Library.
Similar to last year's format, the meeting will open with very short remarks from the School Committee, and then the floor will belong to members of the community. Everyone is invited - parents, taxpayers, students, elected officials, ....
As the fiscal 2008 budget is being prepared, the School Committee believe it imperative that we hear from the public on their opinions. The night is not meant to be a discusion - it is a night for you to tell us your thoughts.
The School Committee intends to once again have approximately four community budget nights shortly. Details will be forthcoming, but these nights will probably loosely follow last year's format where each night included a quick overview of the entire budget and a focused presentation on same facet of the school budget.
