| October 26, A couple of interesting numbers from last night's School Committee Meeting
There was some discussion about B-R's long-range budget planning last night. For those who were not there, have not seen the meeting on tape, or just wanted to see the numbers again... From Bridgewater's Long-range planning document: B-R in fy2008 = $19,128,125 B-R in fy2009 = $20,849,656 vs. our forecasts for Bridgewater assessments: B-R in fy2008 = $19,135,112 B-R in fy2009 = $21,157,825 So, for next year (with a forecasted operational budget of $54.6M), the two proposals are $6,987 apart (0.01% of total budget). The next year after that (with a forecasted operational budget of $59.6M) , the two proposals are $308,169 apart (0.52% of total budget). On another note... From the 5/29/2003 School Info Meeting was a description of the Operating Costs for an additional facility. School Comm Chair Tim Fitzgibbons described the costs for heat, phone, electricity, custodians (7) for a grand total of $683k per year. He did not address any costs of teachers or educational costs. I may have said an incorrect number last night on this issue; perhaps I said $760k; I must have confused Tim's number with a different number. (Sorry.) |
