| September 20, After more calls, emails, letters,... on the paid volunteer coordinator
The School Committee voted down the request to fund two paid volunteer coordinators by a 7 to 1 vote. Now, it appears that Raynham is moving forward with a Town Meeting article that seeks to grant funds for a Raynham Coordinator to Bridgewater-Raynham. There were many reasons that the School Committee did not vote to fund these two paid volunteers: (1) No available funds in current budget (2) Did not like the wording of the positions - Raynham Coordinator/RAVE (3) Not the most important priority for the school district So, just because Raynham may vote at Town Meeting to grant money to B-R to fund a position, it does not mean that the funds would be accepted by a vote of the B-R School Committee. |
