You can do something!
July 21, Answering questions about unauthorized use of photos

Because of many follow-up questions, and my editing (temporary removal off-server) of my story on the 15th, I provide this explanation.  The reason is that I am awaiting the next publication of the Town Observer.  Ed has sent me emails stating that he might run a correction notice.  So, I am left to wait and see how he handles the matter.
To me, and most other readers of this site, it is clear that the photos in the Observer are mine.  They are at the bottom of this page if you wish to see my originals.  Inclusion or lack of Copyright notice is immaterial; if the pictures are not your own, you must get permission to use and you must note where the materials originated.  As someone said, "this is no different than someone removing pictures off of your desk so that they may publish them as their own."  Without attribution, he implies that the material is his.
So, on the 26th, we all shall see what approach Mr. Sunshine takes with this.  He has known since the evening of the 17th that the pictures are mine.  I am purposefully keeping the comments made out of this, for now, just waiting.  What he prints, or refuses to print, to remedy the situation will determine my next course of action.
