January 9, Update on Special Legislation (#4095) authorizing Bridgewater to access Special Fund

(Previously published: 11/11/05, 11/24/05, 11/29/05, 12/28/05)

The next step in the process would be activity (approval by Bridgewater Board of Selectmen?) and actual disbursement of funds from Bridgewater to Bridgewater-Raynham School District.
The following is the official log of activity on the House Bill authorizing Bridgewater to access up to $265,000 from the Capital Projects Fund, to pay costs for modular classrooms and facilities rent.  The House Bill is based on a Special Town Meeting Vote in Bridgewater, from July 13, 2004 (Article #15).  Once signed into law, the Town of Bridgewater will be able to pay to the Bridgewater-Raynham Regional School District the money owed from the FY2005 school/fiscal year.
Special thanks should go out to Rep. David Flynn for moving the bill through the House prior to the Legislative Winter Break, and also to Sen Marc Pacheco for moving this item through the Sentate during informal session.
