February 25, Bridgewater-Raynham releases schedule for Informational Forums

The Bridgewater-Raynham School System has released its schedule of Informational Meetings for residents of both towns.  The five informational meetings will culminate in the Public Hearing and Adoption of the FY06 Budget at the end of March.
The idea behind 'topics' for the various nights is to allow a more focused discussion on each night.  From a School Administration perspective, it allows for the appropriate people to be present on specific nights.  For townspeople, having focused discussions will allow for more in-depth discussion and analysis of any topic.
This format has been used by many other School Districts across the Commonwealth.  A couple of School Committee members brought this issue forward, and it was ultimately agreed to give this format a chance for this year.  If it works well for the community, and that is truly the most important measure, then we should continue with this format in future years.
