| January 20, More on the "Super Step 20"
Since in the story of 1/20 on Ed Spending, I referred to Bridgewater-Raynham's new teacher contract with the "Super Step 20", I wanted to provide some additinal info on it. Prior to voting on the contract, no report was ever presented to forecast the cost for this line item. However, five members of the School Committee still voted to approve the contract. After the vote, I requested detailed information on all employees of the School District. I received partial information, and with the limited data was able to estimate the number of teachers eligible for the "Super 20". I estimated 73 teachers, out of 343, would be eligible. However, because of the incompleteness of the data provided to me, there were also 63 teachers that might also be included in this list. A follow-up request for more detailed information has yet to result in any additional data being provided to me. Therefore, in the other story, I used an estimate of 75 possible teachers being eligible for the "Super 20" |
