| December 2, Changes to school times in the new year If the upcoming vote of money to be 'gifted' into Bridgewater-Raynham for the High School passes, eight teachers will be re-hired for about January 3rd through the end of the 2005 school year. What this means is that the High School day will be lengthened. Because the day would end at a later point, this has the distinct possibility of causing changes to the start and end times for all Bridgewater schools. Specifically, now there are about 21-22 buses that pick up and drive home high school students at 1:11. That run finishes in time to be at Burnell or Williams for 1:50/1:55, and continues for Mitchell at 2:40. However, if the high school will not end until about 1:55/2:00, that is the time the buses are expected elsewhere. So a change in time for end of day will effect bus routes. This is being reviewed, and there will be some answers soon - from B-R and on this website. |
