November 24, Raynham makes interim appointment to Bridgewater-Raynham School Committee

At last night's Raynham Board of Selectmen Meeting, the opening segment was a co-meeting with the Raynham members of the B-R School Committee (Lou Pacheco, Sue O'Brien, Linda Dillon).  The Raynham Selectmen also extended an offer to the four Bridgewater members to attend, and ask a question (if we desired), although we would not be able to vote.  I was honored to accept this offer by their Selectmen, and attended the meeting.
James DuPont asked for his name to be withdrawn at the opening of the meeting.  Sheilah Reardon was not able to attend as she was out of town.  Cheryl Oldfield-Schondek and Melanie DeSantis made opening remarks, and then answered questions posed by the six voting members (Raynham Selectmen and Raynham members of B-R) and myself.  A vote was taken, and Melanie DeSantis was chosen to serve on the School Committee until April 2005.  At that town election, a person will be elected to fill the final year of Patti Roland's term.
