You can do something!
September 24, Bridgewater Business Association's Festival Receiving Plenty of Press in the Enterprise

Do as I say, but not as I do....

A front page story on Wednesday, and then an editorial on Friday.  What catastrophe has occurred in Bridgewater to cause all of this ink to be spilled?  A town-wide festival will take place on a Jewish holiday.
From Laurie Miller's own campaign literature this past spring: Member of Burnell PAC (Parents Advisory Council), 2 years as Officer.
Funny how she can criticize the Bridgewater Business Association for having an annual event on a Jewish holiday.  Did she forget to mention, or did the Enterprise fail to report, that the Burnell PAC has two, yes TWO, fund-raisers scheduled for the same September 25th?
Beyond the long list of local and national sporting events scheduled for Saturday, there are the following also set: Boston Blues Festival at the Hatch Shell in Boston, Beantown JazzFest in Boston's South End, KidsFest 2004 at Wachussett Ski Area, Thoreau for Kids at Walden Pond, and the 2004 Daniel Webster College Aviation Heritage Festival.  Add to that list a number of Churches that are having fund-raising yard sales.  So, the changing date (a different calendar is used) even fooled religious groups.
Perhaps Ms. Miller and the Enterprise can send a calendar to the Burnell PAC, and to everyone else who schedules events on religious holidays.
