| September 21, Local communities to receive additional one-time funds from State The State is releasing $75M in "one-time, non-recurring" payments to the cities and towns of the Commonwealth, as part of a one-time municipal relief package. Prior to any community receiving the funds, it must complete and return to the State a declaration attesting to an understanding of the funds. The money can be used in three ways: (1) Appropriated as available funds during FY2005, (2) Allowed to close fund balance (free cash) at the end of FY2005, or (3) Applied as estimated receipts if you have not yet set your FY2005 tax rate. Local communities are receiving funds in the amounts: Bridgewater = $340,398 ; Easton = $222,405 ; East Bridgewater = $152,886 ; Raynham = $103,494 ; West Bridgewater = $50,693. |
