You can do something!
August 27, I will not commit to a vote prior to an official vote

Since I am frequently asked my position and how I will vote on the $520k "gift" of funds from Bridgewater to the Bridgewater-Raynham Regional School District, here is my response for all:
I am not going to commit to a vote prior to the formal vote process of the School Committee.  From what I have read and been told, it is inappropriate to commit to a position for which I as an elected official will be making a vote at a future meeting.  If someone wants to point to this not being the case, then please pass along the law or recommendation to me so I may correct this.  However, as I believe this to be true, I am not going to knowingly commit to a position.
I view the Prop 2 1/2 vote differently, as when I expressed my opinions and voting intentions, I would be voting as a citizen in that matter.  That is entirely different than voting in an official capacity.
