You can do something!
August 17, Bridgewater to create an ad-hoc group to analyze education in town

Selectmen Mike Tibert made a motion during the 'comments' section for the creation of a committee to study education in Bridgewater.  Anticipated make-up to be: one from Selectmen, one from Advisory Board, two Bridgewater members from B-R School Committee, two citizens at-large, one from the Bridgewater School PAC's, the Town Accountant, Town Treasurer, and Town Administrator.  All of the individual groups are to decide their representative; the many school PAC's will need to agree on their one representative.  Interested citizens should contact the Board of Selectmen's Office to submit their request.  It was stated that the citizens would be chosen at the next Selectmen's Meeting (August 31st), so apply soon if interested.

The strange part to the request by Mike was that it was stressed on multiple occasions that the Committee will not be looking at de-Regionalization, but that he would expect many of the results to dispel what he believed to be the misconceptions about de-Regionalization.

If you want to prove a point, I believe that you take it on directly.  The foremost question on many residents minds is about Region vs. de-Regionalize.  Raynham has put together a group to address the issue head-on.  Unless part of the mission of this Committe is specifically to look at that issue, then the final reports of the Committee would not be able to settle the question.
