| August 17, Bridgewater makes plans to gift $520k in "free cash" to B-R Schools At the 8/17 Board of Selectmen's Meeting, Town Administrator Paul Sullivan explained how it came to be that Bridgewater has an accounting surplus of "free cash". While it is now about $940k, it was estimated that the final adjusted number would be between $700k and $900k. The Selectmen therefore believed that the $700k figure would be a safe figure to begin plans with, and Allan Chiocca made a motion to call for a Special Town Meeting on Tuesday October 5th to vote on the one-time "gift" to B-R of $520k. |
