| August 11, Since the $3M question is coming up again.... Let me remind everyone that I made a comment about the income generating source of $40k in anticipated income PRIOR to my election to the B-R School Committee. For those who call me irresponsible that as a School Comm member I would make a statement like that, it was BEFORE my election. I am not apologizing nor backing away from my statement. It is even still published here on my website as originally written (although it now also includes an extra note at the bottom.) {click here} As my added note states, remember back to all of the comments made by Bridgewater officials in the spring/summer of 2003 as we were preparing the 2004 budget - "there is no more money". Well, at least some money was found when individuals were motivated to look hard enough. In fact, the amount recovered was in the $200k range, and some accounts in small amounts. So, back to the original question - what is the source of the more than $3M in average daily balances? Could some of this be money 'parked' in long-dormant accounts? |
