| May 21, Getting to work on the School Committee -- Public Forums Something that I talked about last year in the election cycle, but did not get an opportunity to really discuss this time -- Public Forum at the regular School Committee Meetings. From searching the internet, I have been able to determine that Whitman-Hanson and West Bridgewater both have Public Forum/Open Discussion early on in the meeting. (As an aside, I could determine this because the agenda's are posted on the internet; but that may be a next step.) From speaking with individuals in both schools systems, I have been told that this timing works well for the public - allowing them to bring an issue to the forefront - without wating until the end of the meeting as we do in Bridgewater-Raynham |
