| April 16, They are at it again... more Prop 2 1/2 from a few parents We have not even allowed our Town leaders to review and discuss the budget proposal from the B-R School Committee, and already parents are trying to line up support for a major tax increase. The figures being discussed by many - $600 more for $4M increase to schools alone - are being pushed by the 2 school groups. And, do not forrget that my opponent is an original member of those groups. And also pay special attention to how she dodged the Prop 2 1/2 questions, until finally twisting the answer by saying she would support the $600 increase if it also included town necessities. Mathematically, it cannot as proposed. B-R's increased assessment to Bridgewater would cost $600 more on taxes itself. Let us not tax away our future. |
