Joseph Gillis Jr.

You can do something!
April 7, Yea right, laugh it off

Since the story is in tonight's Enterprise, in which Dori McLucas "laughed it off and said Gillis is continuing to blow it out of proportion", here are MOST of the details.  I purposefully left out a word, anyone who desires the complete emails can let me know.  It is not the type of dialogue that should be openly circulated.  These comments were made prior to last year's election and voting on the new high school.

Dori McLucas, 4/12/03 email to 150+ people: "So before I did a ranting e-mail to the little man, I called some comrades to get opinion on how to deal.  One person offered to call Joe and discover his intent and motivation towards dereg.  He was open and honest with her and suggested that dereg. is a concept the needs to be seriously considered. She also said that instead of ******* him (as I suggested), we should take him off the list."
Laurie Miller's response, 4/12/03 to email group, with Dori's note included: "...Like all fleas, they eventually are left lying in flea powder after the higher power has decided their fate."
Dori's apology, 4/14/03 email "I am sincerely sorry for referring to you as a little man.  It was unprofessional.  I told you one time that it wasn't personal and I made it personal with that attack."

These two fine upstanding people have a right to say that I am bad for the region?  By their dialogue, we can all be comforted by the manner in which they will approach our children.  Have a differing opinion at your own peril.  Do they not understand what is wrong with those emails?  If these emails had been exchanged at school, we would expect expulsion.
