| April 7, Do high school teachers make $72,976 per year? Much has been said about the number of teachers at B-R High School. It has been quoted at 72, or 76.2 in the Prelim Budget packet distributed last week. Take a look at the dollars budgeted for 'Teacher Salaries - High School' and you can read $5,254,237 for the line item. If 72 teachers, then that represents nearly $73k per year; if 76.2 teachers, then the average is $68,953 per year. Either the teacher are very well paid, or the numbers in the proposed budget are incorrect. |
