You can do something!
February 20, What is the story on the $3.5M land purchase for the new high school?

Last year, Bridgewater residents voted to purchase the so-called Pawlowski Farm for $3.5M.  Subsequent to that, a second vote was taken to sell the land to the B-R Regional District to become the site of a new regional high school.  There have been some interesting developments concerning this land purchase since Bridgewater originally voted to buy the land: (1) Bridgewater still has the BAN for $3.5M due 7/29/04 with interest; so why has B-R not paid Bridgewater yet? (2) Who currently has title to this land?  Myself and others asked why Bridgewater would have to sell the land to B-R rather than lease it, and we were told by School Administration that the District needed to show ownership of the land to receive SBA consideration. (3) What about this $200k fine for taking farmland?  Some are saying it has always been known, but by whom?  Did you know about this penalty on the property?  And to say the cost is figured into the Contingency Fund of the school project, what is the purpose of that Fund?  Contingency is for unexpected expenses; if they expected it, then it should have been a line item in the $69.1M project budget or part of the $3.5M land purchase budget. (4) Why buy another five acres from the Church?  Where is this money going to come from - the Contingency Fund?
