| August 26, School begins in Bridgewater and Raynham Once again, the B-R School District began classes prior to the traditional start of the school year (2nd year). The major issues for the new school year are: 1) We are now a fee school system, with new and increased fees everywhere 2) BES re-opened, hopefully cleaner than what we left it in June 3) Williams students are once again scattered, with 5th graders remaining behind at BES and some 6th graders at the Parish Center. This situation is expected to continue for the next several years. If we are a Regional school system, why cannot some facilites in Raynham be used to assist in this process? 4) Bus routes are changed. Many stops are now on major roads. Who exactly were the safety specialists that determined these stops? (Answer: the decisions were made by school principals - and what do they know about traffic safety?) |
