From the 5/29 School Info Meeting was a description of the Operating Costs for an additional facility.  School Comm Chair Tim Fitzgibbons described the costs for heat, phone, electricity, custodians (7) for a grand total of $683k per year.  Offset against these costs were savings from discontinuance of modulars and rent at Parish Ctr.  [Parish Ctr is its onwn unique situation as its use is based on closure of half of Williams facility, so its use as an offset is dubious.]  Striking by its omission is any costs related to the educational operation of an additional facility.  Without even considering teachers, there are other professional positions that need to be filled - principal, guidance, office secreteries, library, etc.. When asked for this numbers, no one would provide and also a statement  was made that this was outside the scope of the meeting - the meeting was intended to provide building information only.  Seems to be a rather narrow view of operations!
